Op vraag van de dichte buurtbewoners is de bestaande muurschildering (Zwitserlandl) van Roger Noyez opgenomen in een grotere mural.

Daarnaast bevat het nieuwe ontwerp verwijzingen naar de bouwkundige elementen van Krottegem en weerspiegelt het het eigenzinnige karakter van de wijk.

Roger Noyez (1927-2015) was de man die duizenden affiches voor alle bioscopen in de regio, decors voor tal van operettes en toneelopvoeringen schilderde. Vermoedelijk in de jaren ‘70 schilderde hij het muurschilderij ‘Zwitserland’ op vraag van een Krottegemse garagehouder en ter verfraaiing van diens showroom.

At the request of the local residents, the existing mural (Zwitserlandl) by Roger Noyez has been incorporated into a larger mural.

In addition, the new design contains references to the architectural elements of Krottegem and reflects the idiosyncratic character of the district.

Roger Noyez (1927-2015) was the man who painted thousands of posters for all the cinemas in the region, sets for numerous operettas and theatre performances. Presumably in the 1970s, he painted the mural 'Zwitserland' at the request of a garage owner from Krottegem and to embellish his showroom.
