In the heart of the Pontino district, in via Pompilia, Livorno, exists the figure of a Non Gioconda, a copy of Leonardo's one but without the face to let the passenger imagine and stimulate his fantasy.
The work, a mural over three meters long on the wall of an Enel tower, has been done by the painter Valentina Restivo
The inauguration of the mural falls on the anniversary of the death of Leonardo Da Vinci, which took place on May 2, 500 years ago.
«After having made a series of works - explains Restivo, born in 1983, a degree in Cinema and electronic image - I specialized in portraying people. The Monnalisa is the best tribute with which Uovo alla Pop and I have decided to pay homage to Leonardo considering today is the 500th anniversary of his death. On the wall I used black enamel on a white background ».
