Description
Bier & Brood (Koen Harmsma and Jelmer Noordeman) made an iconic mural on the side wall of the Lucent Danstheater in The Hague in 2017. This building has been demolished in 2022 and the painting has therefore disappeared.
The building that replaced it is Amare. In this publicly accessible building, murals have been applied to the walls of Amare Studio on the fourth floor by what is now called the artists' collective Bier en Brood. The murals are still executed in black and white.

During the first lock down in 2020 street art crossed my path. I was amazed by the quality and the effect on the environment. Since then, street art has stuck with me. I regularly give guided tours along street art in the center of The Hague and over the Binckhorst.
