YGNWALLS (Yangon Walls) led by the Creative Director of Yangoods Delphine de Lorme, is an ongoing project in Yangon alleys collaborating with the local artist community in transforming the streets of Yangon as creative hubs for artworks.
Inspired by the interactive street art in Penang, in Malaysia, the collective of volunteers artists have been actively creating their interpretations of people of everyday life in Yangon where a clever combination of installation and painting allows admirers to interact with the artworks.

With murals playing a big role in Doh Eain’s Alley Garden projects, YGNWALLS artists have been illustrating the walls of the 35th Street Alley near Bogyoke , and the 41th street upper block with the purpose of reclaiming and reimagining the alleyway as a space for public artworks.

YGNWALLS team believes that Street art can play a positive role in urban regeneration by bringing cultural and lively vibrancy, strong community ideals and encourage a successful dialogue between the city, the people, architecture and art.

Street art can be the tool that drives beautification, relay social, it encourages and spur creativity, inspiration and technical ingenuity. Neighborhood people are supportive seeing murals to cleanse and beautify impoverished spaces in an urban context. We also hope to generate a new touristic routes and interest for the lovely colonials streets of downtown .
