This six-storey high pasteup was created by local artist Baby Guerrilla on a wall at Victoria University's Footscray campus, at the cnr of Ballarat Rd and Tiernan St. The giant figure represents an African woman flying through the air (typical of the artist's work), carrying a briefcase and a book. Baby Guerrilla prefers to remain anonymous, in the belief that the work should speak for itself, without the mediation of a frame, a gallery or the identity of the artist.
I love street art. And I love sharing the images that artists paint on walls, whether it's here in Melbourne or in other visually exciting cities. I've been photographing art in Melbourne since 2005 and love being part of the street art community.
