Il primo fiore di Verso Sud è un fiore abban-donato, il fiore del carciofo, disegnato da Emanuele Poki.

Un carciofo abbandonato è un carciofo a cui è stata data la possibilità di fiorire. Il carciofo fiorisce solo se non è raccolto per essere mangiato.

L’opera fa parte del progetto Systema Naturae, un esperimento di innesto tra arte, scienza e ambiente nato in Sicilia e che si è sviluppato anche in Puglia e nel centro di Corato. 

Attraverso un'etica del fare, l'arte viene utilizzata per sensibilizzare e stimolare una nuova coscienza ambientale e recuperare un rapporto fertile tra l'uomo e il mondo naturale.

The first flower of Verso Sud is an abandoned flower, the artichoke flower, designed by Emanuele Poki.
An abandoned artichoke is an artichoke that has been given a chance to flower. The artichoke flowers only if it is not harvested to be eaten.
The work is part of the Systema Naturae project, an experiment in grafting art, science and the environment born in Sicily and which has also developed in Puglia and in the center of Corato.
Through an ethic of doing, art is used to raise awareness and stimulate a new environmental awareness and recover a fertile relationship between man and the natural world.
