This is the second mural on the silos completed by Tim Bowtell, depicts historical images of Waaia. I was informed that Waaia means "crow" in indigenous language, thus the black birds shown in the artwork are crows.
The artwork depicts the history of Waaia's long agricultural background - there is the water wheel for the necessary irrigation and the large stack of wheat sacks
The man stacking the bags of wheat is Bill Martin. He is famous for carrying 2 bags on his shoulders at once.
The train is a passenger railway car commonly nicknamed the "Beetle ". These diesel cars were introduced to small towns not large enough to require a full train in the 1920's and were retired mid 1950's
