"Lovely"

Djoels kreeg een aanvraag om een muur te schilderen met wat natuur. Zij bracht een bezoek aan de eigenares van het huis zelf, een lieve dame met 2 kinderen.
En zo kwam ze bij het 2e thema, de kinderen.
Liefde en warmte staat centraal in dit gezin. Djoels was blij dat ze kon langsgaan want ze voelde echt die sfeer in het huis en in hun communicatie.
Djoels startte met ontwerpen, de eerste zoon op de voorgrond en de 2e er wat vaag achter zodat het compositorisch klopte met de nok van het gebouw.
De zonen, handen en het oog fotografeerde zij zelf zodat ze met het juiste licht kon werken. Deze keer liet Djoels zich inspireren door de belichtingstechniek van Rembrandt Van Rijn. Het driehoekje van licht op de wang die de meeste schaduw vangt. Ze vond het heerlijk om technieken te gebruiken en te leren van oude Meesters!
Vervolgens, de handen terug op de voorgrond van de 2e zoon, met het kleine warme vogelhuisje verwijzend naar de natuur en het warme nest/thuisgevoel die de artiest ervaarde als ze op bezoek ging.
Het roodborstje, waar Djoels zelf veel van houdt, verwijst naar de liefde. Daarnaast het oog van de eigenares omringt door de natuur. Het kleurenpalet loopt door over de volledige muur, spelend met dof groen, turquoise en dan het accent oranje. Zo smelt het werk ook volledig samen in zijn geheel met de vele elementen.

In de straat zelf is er momenteel nog heel veel groen, er staan wat bomen en er ligt een grote lap gras voor de muur, dus je kan hem van ver bekijken (als het gras niet te hoog staat 😉).

Djoels received a request to paint a wall with some nature. She visited the owner of the house, a lovely lady with two children. And that's how she came up with the second theme, the children.
Love and warmth are central to this family. Djoels was happy she could visit because she really felt that atmosphere in the house and in their communication.
Djoels started designing, with the first son in the foreground and the second son somewhat blurred in the background so that the composition matched the ridge of the building.
She photographed the sons, hands and eye herself so that she could work with the right light. This time, Djoels was inspired by Rembrandt Van Rijn's lighting technique. The triangle of light on the cheek that catches the most shadow. She loved using techniques and learning from the old masters!
Next, the hands back in the foreground of the second son, with the small warm birdhouse referring to nature and the warm nest/home feeling the artist experienced when she visited.
The robin, which Djoels herself loves very much, refers to love. Next to it is the owner's eye surrounded by nature. The colour palette runs across the entire wall, playing with dull green, turquoise and then the accent orange. In this way, the work also blends completely into a whole with the many elements.

There is currently still a lot of greenery in the street itself, with some trees and a large patch of grass in front of the wall, so you can see it from afar (if the grass isn't too high 😉).
