The Thallon silos were completed July 21st, 2017 by two artists Joel Fergie and Travis Vinson. Remarkably, they created this master piece from just an image on an A4 drawing. It took 500 litres of paint, 500 cans of spray paint and three weeks to complete their work of art.
The Thallon Silos seem to change colour from a stunning orange in the first sunlight of the day, to a lush purple at night.
Thallon is a drought stricken town and the community wanted something to bring the town back to life and to put them firmly back on the map. So as a community they choose a theme for the mural that would depict a sense of the place. The wheat, the mustering sheep and the Monnie River.
