The theme chosen for Manu was “Les fiestes de prau” (meadow festivals), one of the social events par excellence of Asturian culture. “Les fiestes de prau” are one of the great summer events in Asturias, combining culture, tradition, gastronomy and nature. In Manu´s own words they are “a point of celebration and communion among the people.”

Manu, the Asturian representative in this edition of Parees, was inspired by the photographs in the Asturias digital memory archive to create a mural with mixed techniques (paint, spray and transfer) divided into two parts: the day, with the most familiar aspects of the festivities, and the night, being more carefree and celebratory.
