Local artist Günther Rogl has teamed up with young artist Leonie Steinwender to design another impressive house wall in the heart of the market town of Obervellach. Together they are working on a piece that harmoniously combines the four elements with symbols of important personalities and historical events. The Obervellach coat of arms serves as the background, proudly displaying two mountain peaks, the three stars and a sunset sky. In the lower part of the picture, the church clock of St. Martin emerges from the mist, symbolising the past, the present and the future. The dynamic depiction of the Groppenstein Gorge completes the background scenario impressively.
Earth, water and air are clearly recognisable in the background, while the element of fire is represented by the ‘fiery red’ evening sky. A special highlight is the edge of the entire picture, which is represented by a torn open façade and symbolises both ‘the ephemeral’ and the powerful ‘Tauern wind’, which is omnipresent in Obervellach.
