"The choice was a dark-skinned woman; the Murcian part, admittedly, came later. It's not a specific person; it's invented. The flowers are related to the history of the square, and her attire shows respect for the space in which it's painted," explains the artist.
The figure's clothing represents absolute purity; the white color and the fact that she is covered are no coincidence. The artist wanted to depict an immaculate appearance, as the mural is painted in front of the Church of Santa Catalina. Lula, who always blends natural elements with human nature itself, intended to capture these two concepts by making the flowers part of the woman and the woman part of the flowers.
