On the Visit Wall next to Visit Hasselt you can find changing street art, curated by SAGA. Boyo, Joren Peters, Ben Peeters, Krimsone, Yves Gallard, Kymo One and Siger, among others, have already painted murals on this wall.

This work is by Bartkore – the artist name of Bart Bosmans – who is best known for his distinctive ‘Puppets’: expressive black-and-white, comic-strip-style figures that can be seen on walls, bridges, derelict buildings and legal graffiti sites throughout Limburg and beyond.

In 2026, Bartkore presented a solo exhibition entitled ‘Sjoen sjeif is ouch recht’ (Beautifully crooked is also straight) in Weert (the Netherlands), demonstrating that his artistic practice extends beyond graffiti to include paintings and gallery work.

On the mural, you’ll find several references to the Hasselt street art scene. The symbol ‘The Beholders’ refers to the artist Deejoohcee, whilst Coner refers to the late Jeroen Mathijs, also known as Jones. Hertkore, meanwhile, is the street art collective formed by Philip Bosmans, Ben Peeters and Bart Bosmans. SAGA stands for Street And Graphic Art, the Hasselt-based  organisation run by Kurt Bosmans and Daan Linsen that curates and produces street and graphic art. Finally, Elke, Marie and Fons refer to Bart Bosmans’ wife and children. His daughter Marie actually helped with painting this mural.
