God's fight

Gocher city history meets urban & street art.
Historical scavenger hunt for young and old, across the city of Goch.

As Benjamin Taag, the organizer of the festival mentioned, this picture is a masterpiece, which certainly has to do with the fact that it was done entirely with a brush, which is very unusual for street art!

As a result, more subtleties can of course be worked out and by mixing the colors you can achieve more variance in the color design, especially in the transitions and nuances!

For a year he only worked on canvas, so taking part in this festival was a kind of inner liberation!

Corentin is white, a man and cis, so he is considered privileged! But especially in a city like Brussels, but also on his many trips, he got to know the other side, the less privileged, who often have to fight twice too hard to achieve a certain standard of living.

The two people who were used as models for this work are famous choreographers of modern expressive dance in Belgium: Maximus Hatagekimana and Axel Remezo, your formation “The Movement Theory” is really impressive, they often combine their dances with street art, like that there is enough in Brussels!

This work is part of his project "The Ninth Wave"
The ninth wave is a series of works of art that represents a group of tattooed bodies that embody the need for change in our society.

The tattoos on these bodies tell of the social failures we live with.

Movement is a key element in the compositions, it shows the contrast between violent brushstrokes and hyper-realistic softness as an allegory of duality that makes every movement a revolution, split between passive evolution and aggressive rebellions.
