Gift Shop

GIFTSHOP aims to make tourists part of the local community, conversations, make them and co-creators of the city of Ghent. We seek to shift tourists’ perception from being mere stakeholders and passants to becoming shareholders and contributors. We actively engage in dialogue about the challenges that tourism brings. We strive for a real conversation between residents (who are tourists elsewhere) and tourists (who are residents elsewhere).

What to expect here: exhibitions, shops and performances by young artists, some of them with a link to the graffiti street where this 'shop' is located. Oh, you can also have a drink and small bite here.
