In 2018 the courageous intentions of the Church of San Francesco in Treviglio are renewed. The first bet, already successfully tested a couple of years ago at the behest of father Eugenio Minori, was to combine a traditional sacred iconography with a very contemporary and controversial technique, the spray. The subjects depicted on the facade of the church in the west district retain classic features appropriate to the environment, but acquire the freshness, expressiveness and dynamism of street art. The second important commission entrusted to the young artist from Bergamo aims not only to redevelop a side wall of the structure, but to convey a strong message. The scene depicted is in fact that of the meeting historically occurred at the time of the fifth crusade between St. Francis and Saladin. The two men embrace each other: it is the peaceful meeting of two religions, of two cultures, but above all of two human beings. The composition and colors maintain the setting of the original work cited, while the physiognomies are given new life, a significant play of looks and an actuality that strengthens the intentions of the work. In the climate of intolerance and tension of recent years, this courageous and admirable choice is a voice out of the chorus that reminds us to be human.
