Description

A StreetArt Bergen Project.
Just days before covid we had planned a project to take place. Covid came and the world was shutting down, doors were closing and … we all know the story. We kept on planning and organizing knowing it all would change and the world would one day go back to being …
So we bought ½ a pallet of purple which was agreed would be the background color. Then we waited. Suddenly there was an opening that max 25 people could gather in one event. We went for it., First we had to cover the windows with boards. This making it “one canvas” the boards were all primed before nailing them over the windows. Then on the second weekend of May 2020 we moved in, 25 artist and 5 lifts were working from morning to night get the 700 m2 wall done as one huge mural during one oval weekend. We had full infrastructure: homemade chocolate cake in the morning and all needed to follow during the day.
We also invited a local school to take part and they did. Glad we had informed all parents that all clothes the kids were wearing would get painted … and they did.
The Wall 2020 was co-funded by Angarde AS, Naboen Utleie AS, Bergen Kommune, Norges Gruppen, Peppes Pizza, KPMG, Wps Næringsmegling AS and OBS Midttun.
All artists and personell did it pro-bono. It was awesome. One of them project with the cling of “We were there”.

Started walking the streets back in 2015. This developed into shooting and documenting our streets. From there I dove into the scene becoming part of it. I developed the platform StreetArt Bergen (FB/STREETARTBERGEN.TRUE). A platform for documenting and organizing projects. By 2023 our projects have painted over 30K m2 of graffiti and street art in our turf. Largest single project was more than 13K m2.We don’t do tours nor merch. Good hunting in our turf.
