ALWAYS SUNNY IN VICARI , VICARI (PA) 2023

I am a native of Terrasini and have been knowing Peppino’s story since forever. His story is apparently “small” but it is actually crucially important, as it left a mark on our island and is still a wake-up call: in Italy and around the world this rebellious boy became a symbol of the courage of never keeping quiet, of the rightness of always calling things by their name, a courage that the world needs to learn.  Peppino Impastato taught me to think freely, to speak freely, not to be afraid or, when afraid, to try and overcome my fears and say where I stand, and I stand on the good side”.
