Description

The mural highlights the origins and traditions of the town of A Guarda. The color scheme of turquoise, blue, and green, which evokes the nature and landscape of the area, blends with elements of the town's own heritage. The figures depict tradition through native seafaring elements, such as the hands of a redeira (fisherwoman) or women with headscarves carrying baskets of fish. Another figure, a child holding a traditional "Piueiro" boat in his arms, is inspired by the iconic image of the Alarican photographer José Suarez, who died in the town.
