Øivin Horvei (b. 1977) is an interdisciplinary artist who creates murals, mixed-media works on paper and canvas, images, videos, installations, motorized sculptures, and publications. He has completed a number of large-scale public artworks for clients including Oslo Prison, NTNU, and Charlottenlund Upper Secondary School, in collaboration with KORO. He has also recently completed commissions at Trosterud Metro Station for the City of Oslo; the Children’s Department at Oslo University Hospital, Ullevål; and Vikabandet (Norway’s longest building) in Mo i Rana for Rana Utvikling. His work has been featured in a number of publications, including Juxtapoz Magazine, The New York Times, and D2. He is also the creator of the children’s book K.
