My name is Cristóbal Espinosa, I am 35 years old, I currently live in Santiago de Chile. I paint under the pseudonym Cristóbal Persona (as a reference to the Portuguese writer Fernando Pessoa). I started painting on the street in 2018 as a volunteer for a social work foundation in vulnerable neighborhoods in Santiago. In recent years I have participated in different projects and festivals, mainly in Latin America and recently in Europe. I paint realism and the main theme of my work is Latin American literature; poetry and tales of popular wisdom. When I travel to other places I research myths, legends and stories rooted in communities to produce murals that people can identify with and recognize.
