Pour cette troisième édition de Façades, GFR (Hypermur) a invité l’artiste rennais Mioshe à créer une oeuvre d’après les témoignages et participations des habitants. Au cours de ce projet, GFR s’est intéressé à l’amour et la confiance chez les jeunes dans l’espace public.

Peut-on exprimer librement son amour ? L’amour doit-il rester invisible, caché pour exister ou au contraire manifesté à la vue de toutes et tous ? Ces gestes sont-ils genrés ?

Pour explorer ces questions, et par là-même les discriminations de genre, GFR s’est entourée de quatre associations du quartier - Clichés Urbains, Korhom, la MCV et le collectif Tribudom - qui ont chacune animé des actions et ateliers sur ce thème avec les habitant-e-s, et notamment les jeunes, au cours des mois de septembre et octobre.

C’est ensuite l’artiste Mioshe qui a pris le relais en interprétant les participations de chacun-e-s et en restituant ces témoignages sous la forme d’une grande fresque colorée de 22 mètres de haut, Montée en confiance.

Peignant des univers surréalistes et foisonnants, Mioshe mêle des personnages et paysages transformés, acidulés, étranges, jouant avec l’absurde. Ses oeuvres monumentales s’inspirent tout autant de peintures amandes que de mythologie grecque, et créent des passerelles avec des sujets de société contemporains comme ici, avec la question de l’égalité femmes-hommes.

For this third edition of Façades, GFR (Hypermur) invited the artist from Rennes Mioshe to create a work based on the testimonies and contributions of the inhabitants. During this project, GFR was interested in love and trust among young people in public space.

Can we freely express our love? Should love remain invisible, hidden in order to exist or on the contrary manifested in front of everyone? Are these gestures gendered ?

To explore these questions, and thus gender discrimination, GFR has surrounded itself with four neighborhood associations - Clichés Urbains, Korhom, the MCV and the collective Tribudom - which have each led actions and workshops on this theme with residents, especially young people, during the months of September and October.

It was then the artist Mioshe who took over by interpreting each person’s contributions and restoring these testimonies in the form of a large, 22-meter-high colorful mural, Montée en confiance.

Painting surreal and abundant universes, Mioshe mixes characters and transformed landscapes, tangy, strange, playing with the absurd. His monumental works are inspired as much by almond paintings as by Greek mythology, and create bridges with contemporary social subjects such as here, with the issue of gender equality.
