DMOA architects, een Leuvens architectuurbureau, vroeg aan Treepack om een muurschildering te creëren op de kale muur waar ze elke dag op kijken.

Het werk van het Russische kunstenaarsduo Hoodo is een knipoog naar de oude natuurlijke geschiedenis van de stadsrand van Leuven, aangevuld met ideeën van de architecten en de artiesten zelf. Het onderste deel van de muurschildering verwijst naar het oude landschap net buiten de stad en meer specifiek naar de Molenbeek Vallei. Er werd ook een verticale stalen draad toegevoegd waarlangs hop en clematis hun weg naar boven kunnen zoeken.

DMOA architects, a Leuven architecture firm, asked Treepack to create a mural on the bare wall they look at every day.

The work by Russian artist duo Hoodo is a reference to the ancient natural history of Leuven's city outskirts, complemented by ideas from the architects and the artists themselves. The lower part of the mural refers to the ancient landscape just outside the city and more specifically to the Molenbeek Valley. A vertical steel wire was also added along which hops and clematis can make their way up.
