Muurschildering uit juni 2019 voor Street Art Festival.

Driedelig schilderwerk op doeken van de invloedrijke Thaise graffiti-artiest Patcharapol Tangruen a.k.a. Alex Face. De drie delen tonen Alex Face, een personage met een oud gedesillusioneerd kindergezicht dat dierenkostuums draagt. Het kunstwerk beeldt de uitdrukking 'horen, zien en zwijgen' uit.

Alex Face studeerde architectuur. Hij schuimde vaak de straten en steegjes van Bangkok af, op zoek naar verlaten gebouwen. Die gebouwen gebruikte hij als canvas om zijn straatkunst te ontwikkelen en zichzelf uit te uitdrukken.

Met zijn graffiti probeert Alex Face vooral een band te creëren met de stedelijke bevolking, de kansarmen van Bangkok en de provincies.

Je vindt deze drie werken in het Kadettensteegje, dat uitkomt op een feeëriek binnenpleintje, een oase van groen en rust midden in het stadscentrum.

Three-part painting on canvases by influential Thai graffiti artist Patcharapol Tangruen a.k.a. Alex Face. The three parts depict Alex Face, a character with an old disillusioned child's face wearing animal costumes. The artwork depicts the phrase ‘hear, see and be silent’.

Alex Face studied architecture. He often skimmed the streets and alleys of Bangkok, looking for abandoned buildings. He used those buildings as a canvas to develop his street art and express himself.

With his graffiti, Alex Face mainly tries to connect with the urban population, the underprivileged of Bangkok and the provinces.
