ELECTRIC BIRDS

Mural commissioned under the Council Program “Compartiendo Muros”, a local initiative to embellish some of the city public buildings

This large artwork by Spanish Artist, Oriol Arumi, covers an entire wall of the school, using a classical approach with amazingly realistic painting skills, capturing a scene full of beauty between a girl and birds which offers an invitation for reflection on the coexistence of the artificial and the natural.

The artwork depicts a girl in the near future observing a cute sparrow and taking notes on her digital tablet to design a robot  like the little bird,  just as she has already done with a robotic dove lying at her feet, while surrounded by two surprised real pigeons.
