Street Art Cities

This mural was created as part of a national campaign for the Oranjefonds foundation. It is seeking attention to attract new volunteers who want to become a buddy for people who need some extra attention. This can for instance be people who are lonely, needy, living in poverty or any other difficult circumstances.

In the mural we can see Martijn Rijneveld and Wasem Asaad, who form an actual buddy couple. Wasem had to flee from Syria because of the war, and had to start a new life in the Netherlands. Martijn helps him find his way and expand his social network. Wasem also helps Martijn, by expanding his world and introducing him to Syrian culture.
