Case explains that the hands, viewed from top to bottom, represent the word "home" in sign language. "Hands connect people, are unique, make a difference," says the Frankfurt native. With sign language, he wants to draw attention to the needs of people with physical limitations. 

The topic is important to him, also because he has noticed how necessary it is to talk about it. "I once painted a wheelchair user looking down on passers-by from above. This has been very well received by wheelchair users and has made them think about the change of perspective."
