Forever Jungbusch

Description

In With her mural “Forever Jungbusch,” Croatian artist TEA KVAR transforms the facade of the student dormitory in Mannheim’s Jungbusch neighborhood into a vibrant work of art—stretching over nine stories high.

Three figures showcase symbols closely associated with Mannheim: the vinyl record as a tribute to club and drum ’n’ bass culture, the spoked wheel as a nod to the invention of the bicycle, and an anchor and rope as symbols of the harbor.

The green ring-necked parakeet, a hand scratching a record, and the large spoked wheel complete the mural on the street side.

Seven days of work, nine stories high, and plenty of Jungbusch vibes.

A colorful portrait of a neighborhood that brings its history, people, and unique atmosphere to life.cooperation with
