This colourful mural, featuring stylised figures and red birds by street artist Yorgos, is painted on the roller shutters of the building at 17 Pembridge Road. The birds and the outstretched arms symbolise freedom, hope and human connection. Yorgos uses the interaction between the figures to express emotions and relationships, without the need for complex facial expressions.

Yorgos (also known as @u.said.it) is a painter and street artist who currently lives and works in London. He has a multicultural background and grew up in both Germany and Greece.

Although his murals often appear cheerful and harmonious, he actually draws his inspiration from complex social issues, such as gender inequality, the uncertainty of the current global crisis, fear and vulnerability.
