This portrait is part of a series of frescoes representing emblematic characters to as part of the rehabilitation project of the social housing of  Cours des Ecoles. This main objectives of this rehabilitation project was to improve the thermal insulation of the accommodation so that  tenants can   generate energy savings and live in more comfortable conditions. To join the useful with  the pleasant the project is collaboration between Herault Logement and architecture firm BAM Architects. It includes as well 5 frescoes by Montpellier artists Ose and Arkane. 

This portrait of Malala was the 3rd and final one done by Arnaud.
