Mountain Lion

Description

The 64-foot mountain lion mural is visible from different vantage points in downtown El Paso. Students from local El Dorado High School partnered up with the Portuguese artist Bordalo Segundo to work on this project using recycled trash collected by the local community.

The mural is part of Bordalo’s “Big Trash Animals” series that can be found around the world. It is the first one of its kind in Texas and pays tribute to the mountain lion, an at-risk animal that is closely tied to the West Texas identity.
