The Midtown Community Mural is paint on concrete and was installed in 2013. It is full of the symbols of Reston including a nod to Dulles airport nearby, the artwork within Reston Town Center, the transportation station, and a bike on the nearby W&OD Railroad Regional Park trail. Directing it all is founder Robert Simon, peering through the viewfinder. This is a fun, colorful capture of how much Reston has grown, and is still growing. Every time I visit it, I notice something new.
