I know how difficult it is to talk about this from my position, but I had the opportunity and I felt that I had to do it.
Talking about the future, equality and respect is talking about women, their role in society and specifically their role in the Villaverde industrial estate. Unfortunately, it is still too common to find women exploited and forced into prostitution on its streets. For the most part young people, with their whole lives ahead of them but who have not had the opportunity they deserve.
Spaces like this must be rethought from another position and with other parameters.
A polygon like Marconi must be a place of professional, safe, friendly and inclusive development for everyone and especially for them.

Nuria looks towards that future, at those new opportunities. Her gaze is accompanied by a flock of swallows, birds that migrate to safer and less hostile places, symbols of hope, of new and good beginnings.
I hope and wish that this project is one of the first seeds for the positive change that begins in the Villaverde Industrial Estate.

Hablar de futuro, igualdad y respeto es hablar de la mujer, de su papel en la sociedad y en concreto de su papel en el Polígono de Villaverde. Por desgracia, todavía es demasiado habitual encontrar en sus calles mujeres explotadas y obligadas a ejercer la prostitución. En su mayor parte jóvenes, con toda la vida por delante pero que no han tenido la oportunidad que merecen.
Espacios como este deben ser repensados desde otra postura y con otros parámetros.
Un polígono como Marconi debe ser un lugar de desarrollo profesional, seguro, amable e integrador para todos y especialmente para ellas.

Nuria mira hacia ese futuro, a esas nuevas oportunidades. Su mirada es acompañada por una bandada de golondrinas, aves que migran hacia lugares más seguros y menos hostiles, símbolos de esperanza, de nuevos y buenos comienzos.
Espero y deseo que este proyecto sea una de las primeras semillas para el cambio positivo que comienza en el Polígono de Villaverde.
