Kriescher

The restaurant has been history for 10 years. Today, the corner door no longer leads into a bar, but into a real estate office. The house and the real estate office still belong to the owning family, who also used to run the restaurant.

It was only in 2005 that the facade was redesigned and given its current appearance. The Cologne artist Ali Yünlü was responsible for this at the time. Mosaics and natural stone fragments can be seen in the facade design. Above all, many figures and elements are designed in a 3D look and give the facade a special look that is based on the works of the Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser

In the central corner above the former restaurant door, several figures float, merging into elaborate mosaics. Each window has an individual decoration, making the facade a real eye-catcher in Veedel. It's worth stopping here a little longer and taking in everything.
