Obra para Pinta Malasaña 2024

Este no es un gato cualquiera, es uno orgulloso de ser madrileño, un gato “madraca” que nos representa a tod@s los que amamos esta ciudad: a los que hemos nacido aquí, a los de fuera que han venido a hacer su vida o a los que simplemente pasean sus calles por unos días.

Como bien dice el refrán, “por la noche, todos los gatos son pardos”. Así, en medio de la oscuridad y cuando el baja cierre, este gato encantado se revela en un escenario lleno de vida, locales y personas como parte de la esencia vibrante del barrio de Malasaña. Esta obra es un homenaje a esas noches llenas de historias que solo este barrio puede contar.

This is not just any cat, it is one that is proud to be a Madrilenian, a ‘madraca’ cat that represents all of us who love this city: those of us who were born here, those from abroad who have come here to make a life for themselves or those who simply stroll its streets for a few days.

As the saying goes, ‘at night, all cats are brown’. So, in the middle of the darkness and when the baja closes, this enchanted cat is revealed in a scene full of life, locals and people as part of the vibrant essence of the Malasaña neighbourhood. This play is a tribute to those nights full of stories that only this neighbourhood can tell.
