Vincent van Gogh

Description

St Annaplein was an unnoted square of Tilburg, where few things reminded us of the stay of the world-famous painter Vincent van Gogh in Tilburg. From September 1866 to March 1868, as a 13-year-old boy, he lived in a boarding house at St Annaplein 18-19 in Tilburg.  He studied at the Rijks-HBS Koning Willem II. In Tilburg he learned how to sketch! Together with entrepreneurs and local residents, Buro013 developed a concept to give the square more appearance. Starting point was a square that honors the world famous painter. The square is enriched with art objects that refer to Van Gogh.
On a wall, that was constantly being tagged, this ixxi with a portrait of Vincent was painted by Hiyawatty. From here Vincent looks out on the house where he once lived. The idea was from Dieuwertje Vorstenbosch and the design from Mark ... (text will be adapted)
