Cretaed for New Forms Fest
"The initial concept for this mural was to blend my lettering style with a figure reminiscent of baroque sculpture. I've always felt that my lettering was subconsciously influenced by the decorative elements and frames found in classical sculpture. Another goal was to frame the composition with gold, an element often used in cathedral sculptures.
While the main figure might be interpreted as religious, this is not a religious painting per se. Rather, it's a painting about faith, specifically, the faith an artist must have in their chosen path to achieve results and elevate both themselves and the viewer in the process. The figure depicted is the goddess of inspiration, representing, in a broader sense, the universal woman.
The message is that if you dedicate yourself to your craft daily, she will reward you with inspiration. She holds a spray can in one hand and the world in the other, balanced in equilibrium. This symbolizes that when you master your artistic tools, you can ultimately conquer the world and inspire others."
