This work "Still life with flowers and fruits" is a copy of the work with the same name by artist Charley Toorop from 1927. She didn't want to paint photorealistic, as she was in the opinion you should be able to see something different in a painting every day you look at it.

The original painting is part of the collection of the Kunstmuseum in The Hague, but was in loan for an exhibition ate the Museum Arnhem. It was chosen by local residents from a selection of three artworks to be painted on this wall.

The occasion for this project was the 100th anniversary of the Museum Arnhem.
