Colours of Play

Description

A bright and colourful series of murals on the walls of the recently renovated Seymour Shaw Park. In the words of the artist "This mural celebrates community, culture and sport, reflecting the important role Seymour Shaw Park plays as a place where people come together to play, watch, exercise and connect. Designed as a journey across four interconnected sections, the artwork brings together elements of local life including community spaces, skate culture, cricket, soccer, tennis, basketball, native flora and fauna, bushland and the coastline. Through vibrant colours and a dynamic composition, the artwork aims to create an energetic and welcoming landmark for the community. As a permanent part of the park, it is intended to inspire connection, celebrate local identity and bring a sense of pride to those who experience it."
