The mural is a tribute to the musical culture of Oaxaca (a district in southern Mexico), cycles of rhythms and melodies represented with colored bands, intertwine to reflect the pulsation of the earth, the cycles of the stars that accompany us during our entire existence. From a young age, many learn to love their land through their music. With the sensitivity and complexity of a huipil, like a tree of life that is born from the heart, the sounds weave the daily hopes of lives of struggle and great resilience. The mural tells us about our ancestors and their connection with the earth and the sky.
