Woordzoeker ( Wordsearch)

Deze mooie en bijzondere muurschildering van JanIsDeMan is ontstaan op initiatief van de bewoners van het betreffende huis. Zij waren al bekend met het werk van Jan, onder meer door de boekenkast aan de Mimosastraat in Utrecht. Het leek hun leuk als hij ook hun muur van wat kleur zou voorzien.

Jan kwam met het idee om een woordzoeker te maken en daarbij de buurtbewoners te betrekken. Hun werd gevraagd waarom ze zo graag in de wijk wonen en welk gevoel ze daarbij hebben. Uit ieder verhaal werd een kernwoord gehaald, dat vervolgens in de woordzoeker werd verwerkt.

Het resultaat is prachtig geworden: de muur is er absoluut door opgefleurd!

Op de toegevoegde foto's is te zien dat ik alvast twee woorden in de puzzel heb gevonden!

This beautiful and unique mural by JanIsDeMan was created at the initiative of the residents of the house. They were already familiar with Jan’s work, including the bookcase mural on Mimosastraat in Utrecht, and thought it would be great if he could add some colour to their wall as well.

Jan suggested creating a puzzle type called wordsearch and involving the local residents in the project. They were asked why they loved living in the neighbourhood and what it meant to them. A key word was taken from each person’s story and incorporated into the wordsearch.

The result is beautiful, and the mural has certainly brightened up the wall!
