ANDALUCÍA SE LEVANTA

With this headline, the cover of the magazine La Calle was announced in 1980, with this image of carteyanos claiming for employment, specifically in the agricultural sector, on the subject of olive harvesting.
That is why 42 years after what happened and on the occasion of the Bicentennial of our town, the City Council has wanted to capture it in a mural at the entrance of our town that reveals the essence of what we were and we fight so that it is not forgotten and to give visibility to this unknown fact today, especially by the youngest.
The person in charge of capturing it has been the urban artist Sake, who has worked for days to achieve this magnificent result, acclaimed and congratulated by all our neighbors.
