Patterns From the Earth

This traffic signal cabinet mural is part of an effort to increase public art in Gilbert's Downtown Heritage District.

Local artist Lora Barnhiser was selected to complete the project by a committee comprised of Town of Gilbert staff, members of the Redevelopment Commission and Heritage District merchants.

Lora's inspiration for the concept: "The land we live on provides us with a bounty of textures, patterns and surfaces to visually explore. Gilbert has no shortage of interesting features and foliage, both man made and from nature."
