"The future is now" is a project of Buurtcultuur.
 

The artist gave workshops to 150 children at three different primary schools in Tilburg Noord with the theme "The future is now". He had the children, all individually, make a work of art with a spraycan. They painted topics like planets, astronauts, football and Tilburg Noord. The artist used these works as an inspiration for the mural.
The mural was painted with help of Curtley Mooring (Cultuurcoach Noord), artists Finn Zweemer & Inge Koenen, Wonen Breburg, Stichting Move, Art-Fact Tilburg, as well as  Primary School "De Vlashof", Primary School "Lochtenberg" en Primary School "De Regenboog".
