The large-scale mural transforms the side wall of a building into a densely painted forest.

A commemorative plaque on the wall dates the mural's dedication to 26 June 1999. Installed by the Duncan Business Improvement Area Society, it dedicates the artwork to people who enter the forest to gather their thoughts, reflect on their accomplishments and plan for what lies ahead. Nature is thus presented not only as a landscape, but also as a place for quiet reflection and personal renewal.

The mural is part of the public-space environment in downtown Duncan. The present-day Downtown Duncan Business Improvement Area Society continues this local work, supporting initiatives that enhance the town centre and improve its appeal as a place to spend time.
