This mural was a collaboration but Sax player piece was created by Irving Cano to depict “gender equality in our culture.” The work was part of the 2016 Vancouver Mural Festival. According to the event's website, the three characters belong to the Oaxaca region in Southwestern Mexico, which is known for its indigenous people and culture.
