The Great Wall Of Los Angeles

One of America's largest monuments to interracial harmony, the Great Wall Of Los Angeles is a half-mile long mural depicting the history of Los Angeles as seen from the viewpoints of various California ethnic groups. The mural project was spearheaded by artist Judith Baca, began in 1974 and completed in 1983, and employed a crew of hundreds of people including artists, community members and youth vounteers.
