For the 'Hoffnungsschimmer' project in Bremen-Huchting, the "Lucky Walls" team has created an facade artwork based on a design by students from the Wilhelm-Wagenfeld-Schule. A 411 square meter motif covers the facade of a residential building, uniting the powerful symbolism of a lighthouse with the dynamism of the sea. The combination of rippling waves and gathering clouds brings movement and life to the rigid facade.

The central lighthouse in red and white makes a striking statement, referencing the city of Bremen and its coat of arms. Standing in the middle of a stormy sea, the lighthouse radiates a glimmer of hope, emphasised by the sun's rays breaking through. The motif is inspired by Hokusai's iconic 'Great Wave off Kanagawa' and features a clear design language and local reference.

The project was part of a design competition closely supervised by Bremen-based artist and "Lucky Walls" CEO, Peter Stöcker. The artistic implementation took six weeks and was funded by GEWOBA and the Socially Integrative City programme. As well as enhancing the appearance of the building, the project gave the young people involved valuable design skills and strengthened their identification with their neighbourhood.

Für das Projekt 'Hoffnungsschimmer' in Bremen-Huchting hat das Team von "Lucky Walls" nach einem Entwurf von Schülern der Wilhelm-Wagenfeld-Schule eine eindrucksvolle Fassadengestaltung realisiert. Auf 411 Quadratmetern ziert ein imposantes Motiv die Fassade eines Wohnhauses, das die kraftvolle Symbolik eines Leuchtturms mit der Dynamik des Meeres verbindet. Die Kombination aus Wellenbewegungen und aufziehenden Wolken bringt Bewegung in die starre Fassade und erweckt sie zum Leben.

Der zentrale Leuchtturm in den Farben Rot und Weiß setzt ein markantes Zeichen und verweist auf die Stadt Bremen und ihr Wappen. Er steht inmitten einer stürmischen See und strahlt einen Hoffnungsschimmer aus, der durch die durchbrechenden Sonnenstrahlen noch verstärkt wird. Das Motiv ist inspiriert von der ikonischen 'Großen Welle vor Kanagawa' von Hokusai und zeichnet sich durch eine klare Formensprache und einen lokalen Bezug aus.

Das Projekt war Teil eines Wettbewerbs im Fach „Entwerfen“, der von dem Bremer Künstler und Geschäftsführer von Lucky Walls, Peter Stöcker, eng begleitet wurde. Die künstlerische Umsetzung dauerte sechs Wochen und wurde von der GEWOBA und dem Programm Soziale Stadt finanziert. Neben der optischen Aufwertung der Immobilie vermittelte das Projekt den beteiligten Jugendlichen wertvolle Gestaltungskompetenzen und stärkte die Identifikation mit ihrem Stadtteil.
