The artist says...

 Located in the beating heart of Belfast, this wall lays on the site of the very first castle and community of settlements from which the city would form.

Although it was never rebuilt after a fire in the 1700s, its story still reverberates today as one of power struggles laying claim to its rightful ownership and titles. All the while, the community around it grew.
