Located at the Canteras Sports Pavilion, this 50x6 meter mural pays tribute to the grandeur of Carthago Nova—modern-day Cartagena—and its Roman heritage. Created using spray techniques, the artwork merges urban art with historical memory to bring the splendor of the Empire into the present.

On the left, a Roman leader clad in golden armor and a red cape represents power and strategy. On the right, a female warrior symbolizes equality and the strength of the people. At the center, a scene depicting Roman streets and citizens serves as a reminder that the Empire was not only about military glory but also about daily life, culture, and community.

This mural is a tribute to history and the people of Canteras, blending contemporary art with the city’s Roman past. A fusion of creativity and history that keeps Cartagena’s identity alive through time.

The title, “K-ArtHago Nova: Ars, Populus et Imperium”, plays with Cartagena’s Roman name, Carthago Nova, integrating art and the artist’s identity: “K” for Kato, his artistic name; “Art” as a symbol of creativity; and “Hago” (Spanish for “I do” or “I create”), reflecting the act of making art. In this way, art becomes a bridge between history, the people, and the legacy of the Empire.

Ubicado en el pabellón de deportes de Canteras, este mural de 50x6 metros rinde homenaje a la grandeza de Carthago Nova, la actual Cartagena, y su herencia romana. Realizado con técnicas de spray, la obra fusiona arte urbano y memoria histórica para traer al presente el esplendor del Imperio.

A la izquierda, un líder romano con armadura dorada y capa roja representa el poder y la estrategia. A la derecha, una mujer guerrera simboliza la igualdad y la fortaleza del pueblo. En el centro, la escena de calles y ciudadanos de la época recuerda que el Imperio no solo fue gloria militar, sino también vida cotidiana, cultura y comunidad.

Este mural es un homenaje a la historia y a los vecinos de Canteras, uniendo el arte actual con el pasado romano de la ciudad. Una fusión de creatividad e historia que mantiene viva la identidad de Cartagena a través del tiempo.

El título, “K-ArtHago Nova: Ars, Populus et Imperium”, juega con el nombre romano de Cartagena, Carthago Nova, integrando el arte y la identidad del autor: “K” por Kato, su nombre artístico, “Art” como símbolo de la creatividad, y “Hago”, reflejando la acción de crear.
